Legal and Ethical Sourcing

We source all our timber only from government-authorised depots and licensed vendors to ensure full compliance with:

  • The Indian Forest Act, 1927

  • The Forest (Conservation) Act, 1980

  • The Biological Diversity Act, 2002

We ensure that all timber used in our production is harvested legally, with proper transit permits and documentation, and in accordance with national and state-level forest management policies.

Additionally, we strictly adhere to international trade standards including:

  • CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species)
    Ensuring that endangered species like Indian Rosewood are traded in a way that does not threaten their survival.

  • FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certification standards, wherever applicable, to encourage responsible forestry practices globally.

Adherence to Kerala Forest Policy

Being based in Kerala, we align our business with the Kerala Forest Policy 2018, which focuses on:

  • Conservation of Biodiversity and Forest Ecosystems

  • Promotion of Community Participation and Sustainable Livelihoods

  • Improved Governance and Transparency in Forest Resource Use

We cooperate with local forest departments and ensure that all our activities, including procurement, processing, and transport of wood, are transparent and within the legal framework of the Kerala Forest & Wildlife Department.

  • Our production facilities are designed to minimise waste, recycle offcuts, and optimise material use.

  • We use eco-conscious methods such as natural drying, low-VOC adhesives and finishes, and energy-efficient equipment.

Reforestation & Environmental Support

  • We actively support reforestation drives and afforestation campaigns promoted by the Kerala Forest Department and local NGOs.
